Well, Grace, he was getting on my nerves. Unfortunately, he tastes awful so I had to flush it all. Oh well.

No soup would be complete without cat hair. Get well soon. :-)

I couldn't agree with you more, VetTech. It's the secret 11 hairs and splices that makes it for me.

Yes, ma'am! I can also mail you a bowl, Amy. As long as you pay for the shipping and handling.

I think I want to get sick so I can have a bowl of that soup. Dam that looks good

    I'll mail you a bowl, Anonymous :)

You did all that work while sick? Looks fantastic! How can you not get better soon! Take care.

  • Patrick

Thanks, Nora. It's surprising how much effort one can muster when there's no other food around :)

I'm thoroughly impressed you can make all that while sick. It takes all my energy to grab for the phone to order a pizza. Feel better!

Well, Kathy, it took me hours to get to the point you see here. It was either that or photos of interesting sputum. Chopping veggies on the couch while watching bad TV (and many breaks in between), helped an awful lot too.

    Get well soon!

I have my face mask on so I should be safe… :D

  • Patrick
    November 4th, 2009 8:09 am

Thanks, Nessa. Sometimes I think it's better not to protect ourselves; a little flu and a lifetime of immunity beats contracting something very nasty later on. Take the mask off … cough a little!

Sorry..I like the Kathy's pizza idea. Think I would get sicker with the broccoli.

  • Patrick

I do prefer my broccoli with something unhealthy like cheese, MagaMan. But that's the beauty of being sick — no smell means no taste!

    HI, Patrick !

I’d rather starve. Your soup may be awesome, but…

You wrote it tastes awful, didn’t you? Why the hell is that? Did your cat piss in it when you were not paying attention? (No offence, just kidding, OK?)

Take care and get well soon!!!

  • Patrick
    November 4th, 2009 1:46 pm

Haha! No worries, Cochise; no seriousness around here :) And the soup only tasted awful after I put the cat in it (there was probably some urine involved). And I only put the cat in there because Grace insinuated it.

This has got to be the best post I've read all week, perhaps even month. I might just steal your idea, if you don't mind… some credit will be in order, of course :-)

Well, if wordless posts make your list, Hindleite, I will do my best to produce more like it! Much easier for me too :)

Oh, that soup DOES look like it will help you get better. And the assistant chef, the cat, is darn cute, too!

  • Patrick
    November 4th, 2009 1:51 pm

Haha! Yes he is, Jaya. And a good listener too (when he's not going on about his day!)

I hope you are feeling better and since I know what the snot is it's just gross to read about it. I hope the soup made you feel so great that I wont read about it again…..get well

  • Patrick
    November 4th, 2009 8:34 pm

No more soup. Got it. But I have plenty more snot stories up my sleeve, don't worry, Jude :)
